OK, curious here. We all know the Apple scandal with them throttling battery life. Got caught, they moved on. What the obsession with battery life now? Been an android user since I can remember. When the 12 pro max came out I decided to switch. (Been using a iPad Pro since they released it and still using it. Zero battery issues with it to this day! It’s the reason I switched). My 12 pro max lasts me 3 days before I need to charge. Was in the usual habit of plugging my android in every night. I’m a light cellphone user. I’m freaking happy with my battery life in my iPhone!! 3 days?!? Only complaint is on the day it’s finally dying I end up needing to use it the most!! 😂. I’m still at 98% since owning the phone from release. You don’t question when you need to replace batteries in any other thing, why worry about your phone battery? Stop overthinking it and enjoy your phone! Heck, just replaced my truck battery and it was a heck of a lot more expensive than replacing an iPhone battery!
It’s a social media effect.
One person moans about it and the another and another and a so on.
Not a single one of them doesn’t understand how batteries works.
Somehow people think iPhone batteries are never supposed to degrade at all lol
Just stupidity really.
At 11 months my 12 pro max is Down to 90% battery life…..
I use car battery analogies all the time to explain to people that batteries chemically age. I don’t know why people don’t make the connection but they do once you talk about car batteries for some reason.
No matter how many times smart people like you explain this… they just don’t get it
Seriously. APPLE DOESN'T SLOW DOWN OLDER IPHONES SO PEOPLE UPGRADE TO NEWER ONES. APPLE DOES IT TO PRESERVE BATTERY LIFE😭
3 days? How?
I got 3 days on the 8 plus once, 1.5 - 2 days was normal. He’s probably not on his phone a ton and iPhones have amazing standby time
All to do with selling phones secondhand.
Old iPhones never had a battery life percentage so they were easy to flog but loads of people are dissuaded from buying iPhones for a good price now if the battery health is not at a high percentage.
Only answer is to fork out £££ on getting a new genuine apple battery fitted but incorporating that price you are effectively offsetting the iphone for a much reduced price !
Totally agree. Some people don’t understand the meaning of the world consumable. Batteries don’t last forever and surely people know it’s a consumable part?
Some human beings are dumb
If you bought the 12 pro max when it came out and you have 98% health, either you have a messed up phone or you’re a liar. I’m going with the latter.
Ah, there you are kid! I was beginning to worry the troll poster wouldn’t show up but y’all never disappoint. Thanks for showing up. Here, have a juice box and carrots lil fella.
you’re a liar and you call me a troll? 😂. I have a 12 pro max that I bought in January and I do everything perfect. Yours is supposedly older than mine and only lost 2% battery health. No one believes you little man.
It’s easy to keep the battery percentage up if you don’t charge up to a complete charge cycle, that’s how the battery health works. It calculates the battery health on complete charge cycles and when there is a major iOS update, it will recalculate the battery health and then there will be a major loss on the health percentage. But this is for display only, the battery capacity will degrade no matter what. So it’s a pretty pointless feature to be honest.
I know how it works, but thanks bud.
Sorry….tagged the wrong person…. I meant to tag OP.
I gathered you already got it 🙂
it’s cool.
, well, it definitely wasn’t me trolling, jumping on someone’s post calling them a liar. Do you know my phone usage? Do you know how often I need to charge it regularly? You know how many days it sits on my nightstand powered off because it’s my personal phone and I use my company phone 90% of the time? My 2013 truck only has 38K on it but I must be a liar because you can’t understand how usage affects things. 🤡
It’s cool though. Yo Mama’s proud that you called a random stranger on FB a liar because you can’t understand something. (Probably made you your own personal hot pocket when you told her! 😂) Instead of being a respectful human being and maybe asking ‘how are you getting this life span’ you choose to insult/accuse. Hopefully life stops hurting you so bad that you feel the need to insult random strangers. Don’t worry, you’ll get there some day kid. Take care, enjoy your Sunday.
you sound like me except my truck has fewer miles. I’m either in the company truck or on the Harley. I also have a company phone, a personal 12 pro max and a personal pixel 6 pro. I use them for different parts of my personal life. I’m still saying you’re a liar or just ignorant. You’re also hilarious calling people “little fella” and “kid” when you have no idea what and who I am.
Apple didn’t throttled the battery
Apple have put a new code in the software that throttle the CPU frequency. So it can ask for lower voltage to avoid issues with Stability usage when the battery is degraded too much.

Hi Guys. I had went to Apple Service Center today to get my device's charging port and headphone jack cleaned. Since my device is 2 Year Two months old I asked them if they can replace the battery. And also mentioned that Apple has come up with the 2000 plan to replace the battery. The guy there is saying they'll have to run the test before they can replace. AFAIK, this replacement should done if the owner wishes to get it replaced, right? I mean that's what I read. More or less 'no questions asked' kind of.
Can someone confirm if my understanding is correct so that I can go back and debate.
I'm not sure why this post got a love react 🤔 Anybody loves me getting into some problem?
There is a severe lack of coordination between the third party authorised service centres (read as "All service centres in India") and what Apple says. Suggest you to talk to Apple India customer care and ask them on how to proceed on the situation whenever there is a discrepancy.
Oh yes Raghu. I did tell him that I read it on Apple website that it's more like no question asked replacement. But he's saying we don't have any such direction from Apple. He also told to contact Apple customer care and get the case ID if my argument was right.
I will do that. Thank you!

Just wondering, in 1 year standard warranty, what percentage of battery health is consider as defect battery? Can it be replace under warranty?
above 80% - its totally fine
below 79% - it shows service
thanks for the info 👍🏻

Yesterday it dropped to 98%. Today it’s 97%. WTF is going on here!?
I’ve been with Apple for 12 years and never seen anything like this!

You’ve never seen anything like this in 12 years because the battery health feature is only a few years old🙃
The reason you have never seen anything like this in the past 12 years is because that stat wasn’t available to you until 2018. It was always happening you just weren’t aware of it
Ive had my 12 mini for 12 months--I'm at 95%..which I think is great. Iphone battery life is the same as it was in 2007....the phone is just more powerful. If you want a phone with a great battery life..Android. 2 day batteries and one phone charges in 10 minutes. Iphone isn't great.....we just keep buying them!
super agree battery 🔋 life on iPhone isn’t good at all Apple sell us dis expensive phone we buy and they come out wit a new phone so they break down da old phone we have so we can buy da new one
, My iPhone 13 Pro Max charges fully in 20 minutes when it gets down to less than 20%. I have nothing to change complain about. That is super fast. It’s still 100% (I’ve only had it a month) but 20 minutes is nothing to complain about! (Oh, and the 80% I’m using lasts 12-15 hours)
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is said to fully charge from 0 to 100 percent in less than 90 minutes. ... Chinese Tipster Duan Rui also tested it out and makes the same claims, adding that it takes about 86 minutes to fully charge with a charger that uses 30W.
12 Pro after 12 months too…
mine is the same had mine since March
true my Samsung battery could last me 2 days and fast chat in 20 minutes
And the more that you check it, the faster it will go down. What does it take to convince people like you that YOUR BEHAVIOR is what is causing your battery level to drop?
So why are you here?
In a day?🙄🙄🙄 why is that? im a hardcore user who got no mercy on battery health 😂 no charging schedules yet i got 1% drop in 5 months 🙄 you should take it to store for service
agreed.
no. That would be a waste of time. What’s the actual issue? Is the phone powering off randomly? During use?
This is not a real issue
New update sorts out the battery algorithm for iPhone 12’s
My iPhone 8 is 4 years old and running strong with zero issues... Battery Health 66%
I’ve given up. Checked my 12 by accident earlier today. At 5 months, I’m at 91% even though I use my iPad for all the heavy duty stuff. Whenever it reaches 80%, I’ll get the battery changed. I usually change phones every 4 - 5 years.
my 12 is at 99 after 7 months 😂
Apple should really stop showing battery health. Instead, just show battery status like good, average and need replacement
I mean, if yesterday was the first time you’ve checked it, it may have been at 98% for a couple of months, and then today just changed
I had the 12 pro max all year until the 13 Pro Max came out, was at 100% for 7 months, then within a 7 day period it dropped 6% & then another 3% the following week.
Make sure to maintain battery charge not below 20 ‘/, and not above 80’/, which makes standard battery’s health
Same here I just notice it on new ios 15.1 update battery drop so fast.
try Samsung Galaxy Note 7 , "best" battery life ever 😂
if we are going back that far iPhone 6 Bendgate
nah. you can’t beat Nokia 3310 for battery life 🥳
same thing happened to me 4 months ago, just use your phone dont check your battery life 😑
Always update your iPhone using iTunes …
sai kha 💯
Battery health was the worst thing apple done 😂
I am very concerned about my iPhone 12 mini despite I bought in December that the battery capability was 100% till end of June 2021 that I alway kept it above 30% all the time. From after June there I have 6% degrade from 100% to 94%, but from august it’s was 97%. This month it’s went down from 97% 95% and 94% and why is this it doing that? I charge my iPhone every 2 days to keep the battery health in peak condition as I think it’s not staying long to what it’s should be I wondered if my iPhone battery capability could reach around 88% by December or reach 80%? My iPhone is still under warranty til December 22nd 2021. & should I take AppleCare out to further protect it for battery replacement etc?
This percentage is an estimate that Apple makes. A possible prediction. That, of course, means nothing at all. Just keep in mind that you have to replace a battery once every 2 to 3 years. New batteries are not that expensive. Luckely, you can easily replace the battery of your iPhone yourself.......
mine is now at 92% (I've got my 12 since January)... what do you guys think? I wirelessly charge every night, no matter what the batt percentage is... I always place it on the qi-charger before I go to bed
Actually that is pretty good for battery health any lower below 50 it be time for a new battery
I have iPhone SE with like 73% and it's impossible to use it without power bank. It literally dies in a half of an hour if I use it. I think it's better to change battery or iPhone when battery health drops to 80%
it depends on the iPhone you have, cause battery capacity varies between iPhone models. I had an 11 Pro Max for almost two years, used it on 86% for like 4/5 months and it still got me through the day no problem.
Yeah, you're right
are u always on your phone? That can be part of it
same here . I ❤️ mine and I can be on doing all my stuff during the day. And it last
the 13 Pto Max is a beast ! I’m loving mine !!!
Yeah, I used it a lot before getting iPhone 11 this year. I don't limit myself in using iPhone if I paid money for it. When I first experienced low battery performance, I found tips like turning off all services in iPhone just to make it last longer. It makes no sense because I need a fully functional iPhone with all its services turned on. Good that Apple finally improved batteries in new iPhones.
Apple needs to take off the battery health percentage it causes too much anxiety for people!!!
Perhaps a solar back to improve battery life
My iPhone 12 is at 92% am actually disappointed
Im at 87% and still works normal, no problems. Dunno why I'd care about the bat health anyway since I cant replace it myself.
Whenever we check battery capacity it gets low avoid checking it and enjoy the 🍎
Are you leaving your iPhone plugged in to power all day?
Mines at 87 does that mean I gotta replace the battery
your battery is getting bad, you need to get it replaced.
Idk, lots of people complained their battery health declined (or perhaps the info wasn’t calculated the same anymore) but personally I waited for 15.1 before upgrading and never noticed any drops, still at 100% after 12 months of ownership
Ur battery needs changing
that’s normal I wish people would stop caring about there batteries 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
