Apple rolled out iOS 12.1 update few hours back that br ...
Apple rolled out iOS 12.1 update few hours back that brought support for Dual SIM and eSIM functionality.
With Dual SIM support, you can use two numbers on the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR, one of your normal SIM, and the other one, a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical nano-SIM.
Here’s how you can convert your Airtel nano SIM into an eSIM:
*Check if your iPhone has been updated to iOS 12.1
*From your registered email, send an SMS to 121 eSIM <registered email id> for converting your SIM to eSIM (Check the image for reference)
*You will get an email from Airtel with QR code
*Open the mail on other phone or a laptop
*On the iPhone, go to Settings -> Cellular ->Add Cellular Plan -> Use your iPhone to scan the QR code that your carrier provided.
*You will get a message asking you to confirm eSIM change request by sending a reply with 1 within 60 seconds
*Once it is done, you will get a call to reconfirm the eSIM change request to safeguard you from banking and financial frauds
*Your eSIM will be activated within few minutes
By default the primary SIM would be the nano SIM card and the secondary would be the eSIM which can be activated easily. This order can be changed and you can even use the eSIM as the primary SIM card of choice if your operator supports it.
You can configure the Default line based on your preference :-
*Use Primary as default line – Primary number will be used for voice, SMS, Data, iMessage, and FaceTime. Secondary will be available just for voice and SMS.
*Use Secondary as your default line: With this option, secondary number will be used for voice, SMS, Data, iMessage, and FaceTime. Primary number will be available just for voice and SMS.
*Use Secondary for cellular data only: You can use this option if you’re traveling abroad and you want to keep main number for voice, SMS, iMessage, and FaceTime.
This will allow you to use secondary number for data.
Both of your phone numbers can make and receive voice calls and send and receive SMS, but if one number is on a call, incoming calls on the other number will be busy or go to voicemail. iPhone can use one cellular data network at a time since this uses Dual SIM Dual Standby technology (due to Intel modem), unlike few phones that feature Dual SIM Dual Active technology. Reliance Jio has not rolled out the eSIM feature yet.

Thats a easy way to convert to Esim instead of visiting your carrier, waiting in queue and making the staff understand about Esim which he has no clue about.
Esim big problem
Chinmay Pathak 😜😜😜😜
I followed the procedure, everything was smooth, but end me esim ki jagah physical sim ka no mail kar diya airtel valo ne, aur meri deactivate ho gayi, 4 ghante baad airtel store se new sim issue karai to no chalu hua hai
Ya abhi they dont have full proof system. Airtel store se karwana is ryt
airtel store se bhi physical sim hi mili, unhe pata bhi nhi k eSIM kya hai😑
yah they r morons
Received a call from airtel one hour ago, according to them unke paas abhi tak koi information nhi hai regarding eSIM.
Till then i have to stick with my physical sim and they will call me back after they will get the eSIM option.
good, kal to inhone request accept krke sim hi change kar di thi , vo bhi us sim me jo kisi k paas thi hi nhi

The upcoming "iPhone 12 Pro Max" is anticipated to have a number of unique high-end features not found on any other iPhone, such as its screen size, LiDAR scanner, faster 5G, and potentially a higher display refresh rate.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max is also expected to be the largest ever iPhone, with a 6.7-inch display. Previously, the largest iPhones have been 6.5-inches in the iPhone XS Max and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Leaks have suggested that the iPhone 12 Pro Max's 6.7-inch display could support a 120Hz refresh rate, but doubt has been cast on the feature arriving in the final product. Supposed PVT (production validation test) models indicated that the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be able to "alter the refresh rate from 120Hz to 60Hz in accordance to the content displayed on-screen," and have a resolution of 2788 x 1284 resolution with 458 pixels per inch. This model is also speculated to have Y-OCTA support, 10-bit color, and be XDR capable.
Other rumors have said that the device will not have a 120Hz display after a series of production setbacks. Instead, the feature could arrive in 2021 alongside the adoption of low-power LTPO displays and a variable refresh rate that preserves battery life. Adding a ProMotion display to the iPhone without the LTPO technology may result in an undesirable battery drain, although it is worth noting that the iPad Pro uses ProMotion without LTPO.
Supply-chain analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has said that iPhone 12 models will not support a 120Hz refresh rate due to battery life considerations, and could alternately arrive next year with LTPO.
Moreover, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is widely believed to have a LiDAR scanner, which has otherwise only appeared on the 2020 iPad Pro, for enhanced augmented reality and photography experiences. The same alleged PVT models used the LiDAR scanner for "assisted autofocus and subject detection for Video and Night Mode." Some rumors have proposed that LiDAR will be exclusive to the iPhone 12 Pro Max since it is a high-end feature.
Rumors intimate that the iPhone 12 Pro Max will also be the only model to have faster mmWave 5G. Sub-6GHz 5G, which is the slower but more widespread form of 5G, is expected to be present on other new iPhone models. Only the largest iPhone in the lineup supposedly has the internal space to accommodate the antenna design needed to implement mmWave at this time, along with the larger battery needed for its higher power usage.
For more on what to expect from the 2020 iPhone models, be sure to see our dedicated roundup.
October Update: With no sign of the iPhone 12 lineup in September, the iPhone 12 will almost certainly be launching in October. Right now, October 13th is the most likely date.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max, however, may launch later than other iPhone models, according to reports from Digitimes and Bloomberg, due to production delays and a staggered launch. Either the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, or 5.4 and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models are expected to launch first, with the high-end 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max to be among the last models to become available.
So if you want the Pro Max specific features, you may have a bit of wait still.

Apple has released macOS Catalina 10.15, the next major ...
Apple has released macOS Catalina 10.15, the next major update to macOS devices, after it was introduced at the WWDC 2019 back in June. This brings Apple Arcade game subscription, all-new Mac versions of Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV apps, Sidecar feature that extends Mac desktops with iPad as a second display, or tablet input device using Apple Pencil with Mac apps, Voice Control that allows Mac to be controlled entirely by voice, Mac Catalyst, a new technology that makes it easy for third-party developers to bring iPad apps to Mac, Screen Time that gives users insight into how they spend time in apps and on websites, and the ability to decide how to spend their time.
macOS Catalina 10.15 update is 4.9GB in size, but for some it’s as big as 8GB in size. It is compatible with MacBook (Early 2015 and later), MacBook Air (Mid 2012 and later), MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 and later), Mac mini (Late 2012 and later), iMac (Late 2012 and later), iMac Pro (all models) and Mac Pro (Late 2013 and later).
It is already available to download for these devices, and can also be downloaded from the Mac App Store for free.

Howdy there! This is my very first comment here. Would you say there is any ADVANTAGE of the SE phone over the I phone 8? And, I want to keep the HOME BUTTON feature. Does anybody know if Apple is considering keeping the Home Button with the newest I phones not yet on the market? I would like to be able to take advantage of the latest, newest I phone technology, but NOT sacrifice the Home Button. THANKS!
iPhone SE may be the better option. It has the iPhone 11 Pro's CPU in it.
I’m not sure what your budget is but the iPhone SE 2020 would probably be best for you
Just try using one of the newer phones with gesture control. It is so much better, that after around an hour you will be amused at how ancient the home button seems now.
Lots of people like you until they willing to try the face id iphone and never go back to homebutton again. You should do the same
During the COVID I use older phones with home button since the Face ID doesn’t work so I would say get the se 2020 I think it has a newer processor than the iPhone 8 but not sure
btw it’s an iphone not i phone 🤷♂️
I have the SE phone it is fantastic

Frankly speaking Em not satisfied wid ios6 features
Many of those can easily be done by easy cydia tweaks>
Third time i got disappointments
1) At launch of 4s
2) launch of new ipad
3) ios 6
After steve jobs every thing is changed.
Tim cook- get a life
Coz I get bored of iOS UI at times. Then I get an Android phone and then realize again and again how good iOS just is.
MacBook pro with retina display is also introduced under Tim Cook's Leadership u don't think Thts revolutionary??
: Amazed.. You are just speaking the real fact. :) Hats off to you bro
:)
Ya i know vinay. I used each latest device but still i love ma iphone more thab any. But what i ment to say was .. Ma expectations were more...
I wish, Wittiness and Sarcasm were subjects too :|
Money, money and money. I got quite addicted to buying and selling gadgets by which I am loosing quite a lot of money. Gotto kill that addiction :P
what u said was 100% accurate. i too love ios i know its perfect os widout any lag or any fault. But now on ios 6 i wan some thing more advanced thats y i said em disappointed.
yeah its awesome. But people using 4 and 4s expect more.
Vipul Purohit : But not fully compatible..
the main things are missing in both iphone 4 and 3gs
Tell me what is that MORE you were expecting? Anything in specific?
: It will be nice if multitasking is enhanced..
Dymanic Badges i like most in concept ...
Hmmm, to be frank I am not missing much on that part. I heard some good JB tweaks are there but I never tried any :(
as they showed preview of ios 6 now do u think some more features can b added in iphone 5 expect that?? like siri was added when 4s launched
: Yeah.. a JB tweak called " Backgrounder " bridges this gap.. but the sad thing is that i don't see it working perfectly in 5.1.1 :( .. But previously it was fine with 5.0.1
any tweak in which you tube can run in background?
: Backgrounder will force apps to run in background.. obviously it sucks the memory.. but as i mentioned above i don;t see that working perfectly in 5.1.1 .. also there is another tweak like backgrounder.. but its worse .. :(
hav u seen Dynamic Badges?
Yup.
u liked that? what if they may come to ios 6?
: Apple is Beyond Expectations.. It's just beta build 1.. wait for the final version :)
Yeah thats same happened wid 4s they introduced siri in ios 5
nice one .. .. !!! :) ur comments remind me of anil kapoor @ nayak movie .. .. !!!
