Hey, im a newbie to the thinkpad topic, but I wanted to get one for myself. I would like to use it in my college, so it should be quite small, not bigger than 14”. Also, the battery life really matters to me and should be as big as it’s possible. It would be nice to have a touchscreen as well. Can u help me find a good thinkpad for my needs?

I own a Yoga L390 and it far exceeded my expectations. Great keyboard feeling, fast, good battery life. I never use the touchscreen, but my iguana used it, and it didn't work on his claws, so now there's a little gnat bite on the screen where he tried to play Wordle

I think I forgot to say it should’ve quite new. Idk like to have 10 or 11 gen intel i5 or i7.

Ah OK, no problem if you're willing to spend the extra money for marginally better speed.

im not really sure about it, but I think that newer processor will be better and last longer.

If you're not sure, then just spend more money. That always has been a top solution when dealing with computers.

you are laughing at me aren’t you?
I think that spending a few more money won’t kill me, and it may help me work faster and more comfortable.
I just wanted to ask what thinkpad should I get, selecting a processor, ram etc is something I can do by myself.

Great, glad you've figured it out!

i got that for my mom as well. it's really a great model.

New X13s ...

yeah, I have seen them. They look nice but I wonder if the battery will be good enough

It looks like that the battery of the new X13s will be exceptionally good

the new? U mean the 2 gen? I was thinking about 1 gen… it’s a bit cheaper.

ohh… i think I want to stay with intel cpus for now. I had M1 MacBook and I don’t want to buy another ARM 🙂
