How do you recover or reset a password for getting your phone unlocked ? Trying to get in my old phone but forgot the code.

Are you talking about the passcode on your iPhone or the password to your Apple ID?
Then unfortunately you’ll need to reset your iPhone and set it up again.
Not even Apple has access to your passcode. You’ll lose all the data on your iPhone, but you can restore your data from the iCloud backup.

Go to iCloud then password, there are options you can change it with the respective number you used to make your iCloud ID

If it’s the actual phone, you’ll need a hard reset.
