iPhone 7 Plus won’t turn on after battery replacement
iPhone 7 Plus won’t turn on after battery replacement what to do
Guys it’s fixed, I put old battery in
Plug it in and hold down volume up/down button(I don't remember) and lock button. Keep holding till the Apple logo shows. If Apple logo doesn't show, plug it in and let it stay for a while. If still doesn't boot, go to the repair shop where you got the battery replaced
did u do it urself?
Yes I replace battery and screens and never gone wrong before
no the thing didn’t work and I left it on charge earlier so will put battery back in
maybe the battery is just a bad one. Or its not calibrated.
well it switched on before and then it didn’t come back on when I unplugged the screen as it was fuzzy
Just hang in there. Reconnect ribbon cables. 👍🏼
i have
have u checked for ummmm damage
to what ??
to cables or connectors
no nothing wrong I think
Like the cables arnt kinked or ripped so don’t know
oh man. This is a toughie
sure is
Apple has changed the way you change them to stop people putting non apple parts in, it’s a software thing.
I think maybe the battery is broken but it can’t be if it turned on
what u mean Apple changed them
apple changed the iOS software to stop people changing iPhone screens and other components, you need to know what to keep/how to set it up if you want to put a new one in.
well I changed a iPhone 7 screen like 1-2 months ago and was fine
so the only thing you can do is take it to Apple to have it fixed or get your old screen back and battery and have someone that knows what they are doing fix it.
what iOS are you on now/was on before
did you only just recently update??
I know what I’m doing and not changing the screen yet so if I can’t get the battery to work I’ll just put my old one in
I not sure as I bought of eBay but did need to update but didn’t get round to it yet
ok, I know there’s a device now you need to replace the battery’s.
And a part in the screen I believe to keep it working.
maybe your still fine and it’s just a screen on battery issue my apologies.
oh I wasn’t sure about that as it would usually be everywhere
The above comment is referring to Apple locked the Chip they put on the screen camera and charging port to the specific logic board and only repair shops have the tech because it’s very specialist equipment.
I don’t think it applies to batteries though
I fixed it by putting old battery in
maybe the new one was just faulty then
Yes
actually yes for the batteries you need a special device to copy information from the old to the new it has something where it knows as well.
ah that’s interesting. Didn’t know they had moved on to locking the batteries.
yeah, I can check with a phone shop as I know the person who owns it, but as far as I know they changed it.
well I’ll most probably just put old one in but I’ll try and do what u said thanks
