Does the Lenovo Thinkpad X240 really have a bad screen quality? I often see Lenovo X240 Touchscreen has problems on the screen (lines on the screen), many online stores in my country sell Lenovo X240 with line on the screen variant. I have a normal screen, neither dropped nor shaken, but my laptop has lines on the screen.

anyone experienced something similar?

This is a bad pixel sign. Or to be more specific, this panel was damaged earlier - for example bad handling, or while the lid was about to be closed, something could be between keyboard and LCD panel.

BTW also closing itsdlf may be the reason. People often grab one of the sides of lid and put too much energy on one of hinges. It were more noticeable in earlier editions, where plastic hacks (keeping lid in place) were usually broken. When producers finished that kind of keeping lid, hinges are more fasten, the more pressure is coming from hinges on lid back panel.

I have e440 and its showed like that, sometimes the line is dissapeared, but after I carried with my backpack, its appearrs again, it is because of the screen or the flexible cable?

probably. If you wanna be sure, you must buy another one, open up device, change cable and check it by yourself.

Sometimes there's a loosen cable in the socket, sometimes is faulty cable, and sometimes is the beginning of GPU end of life.

I upgraded my x240 to a 1080 ips. Totally worth it
