Thinkpad: Do you turn them on once a month?, If yes, for how long?

Hi All!
For those who keeps a collection of ThinkPads, how do you store them to preserve the battery in good condition, and how do you maintain them? Do you store them at a specific amount of battery charge? Do you turn them on once a month?, If yes, for how long?

I arrange them in a bookshelf like this and I just turn mine off and keep the batteries in them. Pulling out the batteries has never extended their lifespan, plus, pulling out the internal batteries in newer ThinkPads is ridiculous.

Do not stack them on top of each other, as that will press the display onto the trackpoint/keyboard and you'll get scuffmarks on it.

I try to take the ones I use the most out regularly just to spin the fan and check up on them. couple of hours will do nicely if you're just spinning the fan and getting some healthy electricity through it. Once every couple of months at least. When you have as many as I do, there just isn't enough time to do it to every one of them.
