Greetings everyone. I am trying to understand the IWS rules. If I buy a laptop for example within the EU, from Germany, will this laptop have warranty in Hungary? I read on the Lenovo website that this can be checked with the 4 digits according to the type. Can someone please be kind to enlighten me. I see no phone nr, so for any modell I check and I do not see a phone nr for Hungary, there is no valid IWS?

All ThinkPads come with international warranty, I bought a p1 gen 4 from the US and it's currently being repaired in the UK, they may ask you to contact the seller, but don't let them put you off, keep pushing.
My P1 arrived sealed with damaged screws and a broken bottom cover and they tried to tell me to contact the seller for a warranty (i.e. send it back to the US) but eventually they gave in and sent a collection label.

Well, that was cheeky of the UK office. >:(

Also, you need to click the "show cities" to show a list of cities in Hungary with Lenovo service centers.

If I click show cities I can see the cities. If I may know, from where do you have the information that says all Thinkpads come with IWS?

Got a P1 Gen1 sent from Lenovo in the US. The planar malfunctioned a year and a half after I got it and their partner here in Iceland replaced it. No questions asked.
