Thinkpad l440 network management does not recognize the adapter and I can not switch it to "enable"

Hello to all!

I have a quick question and would really appreciate some help.

I have a l440 with built-in WWAN adapter. Now I have had a SIM card sent to me from my provider and plugged it in. I also installed the appropriate driver for the WWAN adapter via the Lenovo service website.

Unfortunately, my network management does not recognize the adapter and I can not switch it to "enable".

Does anyone have a tip? Thanks a lot!

My 2 cents advice:
- Remove all drivers linked to the wwan
- Install Lenovo vantage
- Check drivers through vantage and through windows update

Let us know how it goes

thanks! I will Test that on the weekend 🙏🏼

I have done this on a T470s - Sucess!

Fyi, vantage is much better at finding the right driver than windows update. And looking for a driver manually over the net is … risky

i used vantage with T470S

Is this an LTE sim card?

could be! I’m not sure. I just ordered an extra sim. I will take a look tomorrow. But it’s not even recognizing the adapter. I’ve looked in de BIOS, the WWAN is enabled 😕
