Did an in-place upgrade from Win7 to Win10 on my beast because I wanted to run the latest software suites on it, like M365 and Adobe etc. I had set everything up in Win7, so I only had to repair the ThinkVantage FPR suite for full functionality, including booting it up with the FPR and installing the T420 Synaptics driver for the TrackPoint for scrolling in modern Win10 apps. Same as I've done with all xx00 and xx01/10 machines I have running Win10. And presto, perfection.

Oh shit, is your secondary screen okay?

Yes, it's perfect. It's running Outlook.

Oh phew, I thought that line was IN the screen!

by the way, did your DS boot with the 940? I've found a record of a single other DS booting with a 940, but I've found many records like mine that will only boot with the 920. Trying to narrow down if it's a bios discrepancy or perhaps the source of the cpu itself.

I haven't installed it yet, but will let you know as soon as I do.

Oh, by the by, which BIOS version is yours running?
