Which display resolution is better for X1C
FHD or WQHD and higher?

Depends entirely what you use your X1C for. I have X1(C) ThinkPads with all resolutions they've been released with. Up to 4k OLED (Which is superb, but if you have legacy apps, forget about it. and it drains your battery real quick.) I'd go the middle road and go for the 2k screen.

mainly terminal and some coding on linux

Personally, I'd choose the FHD screen to avoid all scaling issues, but the 2k display is so nice.

thats what I thought but everyone else recommends 2K or higher ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Which is understandable, because the 2k display quality is much better. But the FHD display isn't bad at all.

I have a 6th with 2k screen, it is brilliant, guessing the later models would even better

Do you set the scaling to 100% or higher?
Arenโ€™t the fonts too small?
What about the battery life?
Isnโ€™t FHD more efficient?

I use 125% on my t430s With a 1440p display
