Thinkpad x220 wasn't able to charge the battery
Hi guys, I have a question for you: yesterday I got this 9 cell GreenCell battery for my thinkpad x220, perfectly working out of the box. The battery arrived at a good 20% left, then i shut the pc off. This morning the pc wasn't able to charge the battery and without AC power it's not able to power on. When the pc is on I can see a 100% of charge left, the battery is fully charged, but if i unplug the power cable it immediately shuts down. I'm using Linux Mint and Lubuntu. What do you all suggest to solve this mess?
You got a BrownCell.
hardware that i pay the highest price for :
- harddrive/ssd
- battery
hardware that i pay the lowest price for :
- proc
- ram
- GC
- MB
- screen
i have horrible luck with 3rd party batteries. most of them are junk. very little QA.
Check the battery with a multimeter. I never had a problem with spare batteries. Moreover, running linux, you can use tlp which runs best with a ThinkPad
Get original battery
