Throttlestop has been such a godsend for my Thinkpad T440p when I upgraded the CPU to an i7-4700MQ. Battery life is much much higher and temps are much lower. Does anyone else use Throttlestop on their computer and how has it worked for you?

I was using in my gf HP elitebook. I made an upgrade from i5 2520 to i7 2670qm, to avoid higher temps and throttling I locked it until 2.2ghz without boost. Good temps and no issues related to throttling

made extensive use of FIVR to undervolt IA (cpu core), ring (cpu cache) and GT Unslice/Slice (igpu) voltages

and TPL to control max turbo power limits PL1 (which is the max amount of power drawn by CPU under long term stress conditions), and PL2 (max amount of power drawn in burst conditions, often higher than PL1)

I use it on my T420 i7 2720qm to make sure that CPU doesn't run full throttle all the time

Is t440p still worthy to buy nowadays?, i'm interested to buy it because it has dgpu and quad core i7 and its only around 300$

only if you want to tinker and upgrade over time. The dgpu is not even supported with drivers anymore so its up to you
